Yep, Northern Lower Michigan is still in the midst of winter in March. We got a little bit of snow overnight. The only way to hike anywhere was with snowshoes, and since neither of us had a pair, we stayed in a hotel in Traverse city the next night. Oh well, we'll rough it next time.
